IP Easy - Privacy Policy
IP Easy is a network scanner for Android. This page explains what the app does with information. The short version: it collects nothing and sends nothing to us.
What the app does
When you press Scan, IP Easy contacts the addresses in the range you chose to see which devices respond. It may show each device's IP address, name, MAC address, manufacturer, response time and open ports. All of this happens on your phone.
Information we collect
None. Techdotrom Ltd does not receive scan results or any other information from the app. IP Easy has no accounts, no adverts, no analytics and no crash reporting.
Information stored on your phone
The app stores your settings, your last scan range and any ranges you save. These stay in the app's private storage on your phone and are deleted when you uninstall the app. Scan results are not kept after the app is closed. If you use Export, a copy of the exported file stays in the app's temporary storage until Android clears it or you uninstall the app.
Network activity
- The app sends network requests only to the addresses you choose to scan, and to your network's DNS server to look up device names.
- Manufacturer names come from a list built into the app, so no lookup is sent over the internet.
- If you choose "Open in browser", the address is passed to your phone's web browser.
Sharing
Nothing is shared unless you do it yourself. If you use Export, the app creates a CSV file of the current results and hands it to the Android share sheet, and you choose where it goes.
Permissions
IP Easy uses the Internet permission only, which it needs to reach devices on your network. It does not ask for your location, contacts, files, camera or microphone.
Children
IP Easy is a technical tool and is not directed at children.
Payments
If you buy the app, the payment is handled by Google Play. We do not see or store your card details.
Responsible use
Only scan networks that you own or have permission to scan.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
